Make Merry with These Style Trends for the Holidays!

The holidays are almost here! What are you going to wear? Maybe something sparkling, something smooth and sleek, or something just plain cozy. Whatever your holiday plans include, we’ve got ideas to suit your style.

Trends to Help You Look Your Best During the Holidays

1. Is orange the new black again?

One of this year’s hottest trends is a spicy, warm orange that conjures pumpkin lattes and fall foliage. Sweaters in this shade are ideal for visits to the pumpkin patch. Look for dresses featuring this eye-catching earthy tone to get noticed at holiday parties.

2. Sequins are in!

And there is so much you can do with them! Want to go bright and bold? Then you need a sequined cocktail dress. Rather keep it a little more subtle? Try a sequined jacket for formal events or keep it casual by pairing a dazzling cami with your favorite pants.

3. Tartan plaid never goes out of style

What about something cute and casual for holiday shopping trips and visits to the tree farm? Pick up a tartan plaid flannel button-down in festive holiday colors of red, green, and gold. Tartan is so comfortable and versatile, we wear it all year long.

4. Party in pretty patterns

Animal prints are trending, particularly bold leopard prints. So are pinstripes, which are fabulous for formal events. And if you’re looking to stray to the eclectic side of things? Look for blouses and tops featuring bold swirls reminiscent of marbling or watercolors.

5. Look lux in leather

Faux leather is a huge trend this year, especially in black and dark burgundy or Bordeaux shades. The uptick in popularity also means there's more style variety than ever. Try faux leather leggings, flared pants, beautifully cut jackets, and even flowing dresses.

6.  Give a nod to textures

Right now, popular textures for the coming colder months include everything lush and luxurious: velvet, cashmere, and faux fur. Fill your holiday closet with some staples like a simple velvet dress, a couple of cozy synthetic cashmere sweaters, and a skirt or cute pair of boots with faux fur trim.

7. Don’t get rid of your joggers just yet!

Joggers have been around for a couple of years, and as temperatures start to dip, you can bet they won’t be going anywhere. What to look for in a good pair of joggers? Thick, comfortable cotton and an oversized fit that will keep you nice and snug during Zoom calls with family or while opening presents as the snow falls.
